Roasted nuts and seeds are the perfect crunchy snack food to keep you on track this holiday season
Parties, parties, parties. The holiday season is a wonderful time of the year. However, it can be one of the most frustrating experiences for those who desire to stay on track.
Snack foods tend to be an area many gastric bypass and gastric sleeve patients feel most tempted. Choosing vegetables and fruits is always a good choice, but don’t forget how satisfying and delicious nuts and seeds are.
The perfect snack food is quick, simple, crunchy and delicious
Roasted Raw Nuts and Seeds are the perfect crunchy snack food. They provide….
- A high quality source of protein and fiber.
- Plenty of essential healthy fats.
- Have the desired “CRUNCH” many people crave.
So stay on track this holiday season with this warm, crunchy snack food recipe.
1-2 Tablespoon virgin, unrefined coconut oil
1-2 pounds any raw nut or seed
2-3 teaspoons sea salt
BAKE AND TAKE
Add the coconut oil & salt to the bag of nuts/seeds, shake until coated. I loved the recipes… easy and my husband loved them, as did I. I felt full and satisfied. I have not had a low blood sugar since following your 10 Day Back on Track Class Meal Plan and that was my goal.
Plus, the loss of 4 pounds was an added bonus. Looking back I realize I was not eating the right foods therefore I was having low blood sugars. I have a whole new way of thinking when it comes to eating thanks to the Gastric Health Club and to you Dawn! Thanks!!
